* Desktop and hanging chimes have been available in the past, and may be available again in the future. Prices available upon request.
Universal Song chimes can be used in a variety of musical settings or for meditation. They are also useful for education in sound, acoustics, special mathematical ratios, and the universal harmonics ( the Music of the Spheres).
Universal Song chimes reflect the scales of our planet and moons, sacred geometry shapes translated into sound, the sound of the rainbow, the sound of ancient musical scales, and the vibrations of the charkas.
Universal Song chimes are joyful items when displayed in a lobby, waiting room, office, or private practice, as well as in the home. Many practitioners of energy balancing, acupuncture, feng shui, and massage therapies incorporate our chakra desktop chimes in their practice . Our chimes based on the ratios of sacred geometry are suitable for designers and architects, while the chimes tuned to colors are wonderful for visual artists.
Universal Song desktop chimes are designed to sit on a flat surface and are played with a small mallet. The chimes are made of a special 5/8″ polarized aluminum alloy which emits beautiful overtones and tonal qualities with a wonderful length of sustain. The frames are made of purpleheart wood with a lovely natural purple color, or wenge wood, which is a dark brown with lines of black.
Our desktop chimes are designed to be played by children and adults
as well as the magical child in us all.
The Universal Song “DNA Resonance” desktop chime
The Universal Song “DNA Resonance” 17-note chime is a beautiful sonic prayer to our DNA inherent musical coherence. Meditation and toning with this chime is intended to communicate coherence and order to our DNA and to celebrate our beautiful life code.
The Universal Song “DNA Resonance” chime contains the 17 notes that are the harmonic (overtone) partials 8 through 16 and the subharmonic (undertone) partials 8 through 16. Together, these overtones and undertones create a sonic mirror image of each other, a sort of tonal Double Helix. The harmonic symmetry is beautiful to both the eye and the ear, creating a musical expression of the Hermetic Law: As Above, So Below (though in inverse proportion). The fundamental tone is based on the basic resonance note of our DNA of 8.54 = million Hz. This is the sound frequency of our 24 hour solar day octavized 41 octaves above 388.36148148 Hz or Abb, the 675th subharmonic. Each note has its octavized reciprocal note or its sonic twin soul or octave compliment.
One of the notes is an octivized expression of the DNA’s special phi ratio or golden mean (ratio 16384:10125 = 1.61817283951 etc., the 10,125 subharmonic.) This golden mean note is ratio 16:15, or just a half-step above our DNA resonance note.
Note: these same notes are available in weighted and unweighted tuning forks.
The Universal Song “East Indian Raga Scale” chime
The Universal Song 23-note “East Indian Raga Scale” chime contains the notes including the octave of the 22-srutis of North and South Indian music. The chime is tuned to a C#+ note of 540 hz. Representing the SA or DO of the composite raga scale.
The Universal Song “East Indian Raga Scale” chime uses the authentic whole number ratios of East Indian music and combines ratios built on prime number multiples of 2, 3, and 5 only. By using a C# of 540 hz every note in the scale is in tune with the mathematic key number of the prime element Hydrogen as discovered by Randy Masters. (Example: 540×12.15 = 6561 Angstroms, the Balmer M3 spectral line of Hydrogen and the second red color of our rainbow) The one octave range is 540 hz to 1080 hz. Randy has calculated this C# of 540 hz or its lower octave of 270 hz to be the ideal C# resonance for the famous Stradivarius violin in perfect phi ratio (golden mean) of 1.6 with the old Paris tuning pitch of A = 432 hz (432:270 = 1.6 = minor 6th ratio). The C# of the Earth’s tropical year rotation is 272.2044 hz in the 33rd octave. Many ancient gongs are tuned to C# notes around or near these notes.
The Universal Song “Rainbow” chime
The Universal Song “Rainbow” 18-note chime represents the nine colors of the rainbow spectrum as seen through a quartz prism. These colors are two shades of red, orange, yellow, yellow–green, dark green, cyan blue, blue, and blue–violet. These colors are scientifically converted to sound in two octaves producing 18 total chimes. Our rainbow spectrum is certainly one of the color keys to the golden kingdom of life on our earth.
When it has been said that the Arc of the Covenant is the rainbow, the reference referred to the entire electromagnetic spectrum of which the rainbow is an essential component. The rainbow contains many fascinating mathematic ratios. For instance, the ratio between the dark spectral red and the 2nd red color is 1/3, a specific value of pi. The middle orange-yellow color is 1875 times pi. The darkest red color is 2187 times pi and 1/9th of that color wavelength is equal to the base length of the Great Pyramid in feet. One tenth of the cyan blue color in the rainbow is equal to the height of the great pyramid in feet, and when converted to sound, is the exact frequency of the 7.23 cm wavelength that is the ever-present wavelength of the background radiation ever present throughout space, as measured by Bell Labs.
This chime is excellent for color balancing energy work or for scientific demonstration of color harmonics. Many find it beneficial to meditate and breathe and listen to sound/color frequencies.
The Universal Song “Sri Yantra” chime
The Universal Song “Sri Yantra” 28-note chime was created for deep meditation into the origins of the universe and creation, and the nature of sound, the Nada Brama. The book “Yantra the Tantric Symbol of Cosmic Unity” by Madhu Khanna (Inner Traditions) is highly recommended.
The Sri Yantra is a geometric power diagram (Yantra) consisting of nine interlocking triangles. When “AUM” or “OM” is pronounced correctly, a vibrating metal plate with sand will form the Sri Yantra. It is said in ancient 10,000 year old manuscripts that the entire Sanskrit language is generated and contained in the Sri Yantra. Dr. Patrick Flanagan, M.D. researched the Sri Yantra for over twenty five years and found that “ this symbol is more than just a pretty design, it is a light-wave antenna that has the ability to focus, balance, and increase the level of life-force energy.” Dr. Flanagan’s spiritual teacher, Sathya Sai Baba, showed him how to draw the Sri Yantra perfectly and our musical conversion of the nine triangles and the primary containing circle is based on the computer math from Dr. Flanagan’s analysis of the Sai Baba procedure. Randy Masters scientifically calculated the wavelength and ratios and converted them into sound. Dr. Hans Jenny from Switzerland did cymatics research proving that the pronunciation of OM produces the Sri Yantra shape. Ratios of each of the main nine triangles are represented in sound as the base, height, and slope ratios creating twenty-seven tones for the nine triangles and one tone for the diameter of the containing circle.
The Universal Song “Artist’s Palette” chime
The Universal Song “Artist’s Palette” 20-note chime is designed for artists, musicians, and teachers. The sound frequencies for pigments are a perfect 5th (ratio 3:2) below the sound frequencies of light.
The Universal Song “Artist’s Palette” chime contains the sound equivalent of twenty famous color pigments used by artists. These color pigments were converted to sound from the original scientific study of their color wavelengths in nanometer measurements.

The Universal Song “Scriabin’s Mystic Chord” chime
The Universal Song 6-note “Scriabin’s Mystic Chord” chime makes a very “hip” gift for any musician, music teacher, or music aficionado.
Scriabin’s mystic chord is a very famous chord in music theory history, and is mentioned in nearly all music theory textbooks and classes. However, until micro-tonal composer and director of the American Festival of Micro-tonal Music and symphonic bassoonist Johnny Reinhard researched the historic correspondence of Russian composer Alexander Scriabin, the chord was notated incorrectly in all the music theory books. These theory books spelled the chord, in ascending order, C, F#, B flat, E, A and D. The chord cannot be done correctly in 12-tone equal-tempered toning, but only in whole number ratio overtones resulting in C, ¼ tone – sharp F, B flat, E, ¼ -tone sharp G and D. The correct ratios are 1:1=C ; 11:8=F(11) ; 7:4=B flat (7); 5:2=E ; 99:32=G(11), and 9:2=D. Using 32 as a common denominator, the correct ratios are 32; 44; 56; 80; 99; 144.
Johnny Reinhard and a select ensemble improvised on this chord at the famous Carnegie Hall Recital Hall in New York City. This chord can be constructed on any fundamental or “key tone” on a custom order basis as long as the harmonic ratios are adhered to precisely.
The Universal Song “Heaven and Earth Scale” chime
The Universal Song “Heaven and Earth Scale” 15-note chime is based on the ancient musical toning system generated by a spiral of perfect 5ths, ratio 3:2. This chime is based on a two octave scale of the white notes of the piano derived from this toning structure as used in ancient Egypt, Mesopotamia, China, India, and other cultures. This scale is symmetrical both ascending and descending, and is known today as the Dorian mode.
The Universal Song “Heaven and Earth Scale” chime is tuned to the exact frequencies of our “ Inner Vision” audio cd featuring Joel Andrews on harp, and can be played along with improvisationally without musical training. The scale ratios are based on a D-note and are 1:1, 9:8, whole-tone; 32:27, minor 3rd; 4:3, perfect 4th; 3:2, perfect 5th; 27:16, major 6th; 16:9, minor 7th; 2:1, the octave.
The Universal Song “Lambdoma Matrix” chime
The Universal Song “Lambdoma Matrix” 50-note chime is the quintessential instrument for exploring and teaching overtones, undertones, and the simplest microtones of musical acoustics.
The Lamboma Matrix is a 16×16 grid of 256 squares showing the overtone multiples of a string and its undertone divisions. Of these 256 notes, 50 are one octave ratios based on numbers 2 through 16 using prime numbers 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, and 13 only. The highest numerator in any of the 50 ratios is 28 and the highest denominator in the ratio is 15.
The Universal Song “Lambdoma Matrix” chime starts two octaves above middle C at 512Hz, and ends three octaves above middle C at 1024Hz, the third highest C on an 88-key piano. When two notes are played together there are even more ratios available to study, meditate and play with, from the smallest 225:224 ratio to the largest 2:1 ratio ( the octave). The ratio 10:7 is the symmetrical middle of the Lambdoma 50-note octave which descends in the same ratios from the octave C of 1024 Hz as when it ascends from the starting note C of 512Hz.
How cool it is to tune to Pythagoras’s own primary tonal matrix for teaching key musical ratios of our universe!
The Universal Song “Balmer Ladder of Hydrogen” chime
The Universal Song “Balmer Ladder of Hydrogen” 34-note chime is designed to help us recalibrate to nature’s first element of creation. For those who work with the violet light of transmutation and clearing, this is nature’s primary source of 31 violet tones from the very heart of creation – hydrogen, the element of first creation. Our body’s basic biological clock is set to the motion of the hydrogen molecule, beginning with red at sunrise and ending eith violet at sunset. Balmer M6 and M3 are in the perfect musical phi (golden mean) ratio of exactly 8:5 or 1.6 and represent perfectly tuned red and violet. When red and violet, the two ends of the rainbow, join together, the beautiful color magenta is created.
The Universal Song “Balmer Ladder of Hydrogen” chime has an absolutely fascinating sound as a sound conversion of the 34 Spectral Lines of Hydrogen according to the extended Balmer Series of Hydrogen. It is named after the physicist John Jakob Balmer who discovered this series of spectral lines in the visible spectrum from red 6561 Angstroms. (Balmer M3) to 31 violet lines in close micro-tonal order from Balmer M6=4100 Angstroms to Balmer M36=3656.28482971 hz. These visible violet notes are so close together they appear to be nearly the same, yet they rise ever so slightly to create considerable enchantment.
Hydrogen is the prime and first element of all of creation. The chime represents music of the spheres at the sub-atomic level. Their total range is ratio 323:180=1.79444944, or a minor 7th interval, the basic unit of the visible spectrum of color. Two of the colors – Balmer M3 6561 (spectral red), and Balmer M4 4860 Angstroms (cyan blue), are actually found in the prismatic color of the rainbow exactly.
The Universal Song “Weather Spherics” chime
The Universal Song “Weather Spherics” 7-note chime is based on the seven weather frequencies that help shape our weather, called “spherics.” Meditators may wish to use these notes to converse with the weather for a more benevolent human / nature rapport.
These notes are in the harmonic progression of 4:6:8:10:12:27:48. Their full value ranges from 4150.84 hz, called B# 41 (2531) + to 49810.08 hz, called F## 41 (2531). We make these frequencies in the audible range from 518.82875 hz to 6226.26 hz, or three octaves lower than the top limit as our general hearing range is some 20,000+hz. As a reference in equal-tempered tuning based on A=440 hz, the highest C-note on the piano would be 4186 hz. Therefore, the full value lowest spheric frequency begins with the highest note on the piano.
Note 1: Pythagorean B#+3=4151.8828125 exactly.
Note 2: Tuning forks are available one octave lower than the spherics chime (unweighted) or 2 octaves lower (with weights).
The harmonics 6:8:10 of this weather series form a perfect Pythagorean 3-4-5 right triangle, a geometric symbol of the major chord in its most harmonic tuning. If musicians wish, they could tune to the weather B# (4150.84) four octaves lower, and call it a middle C of 259.4275 hz – 14.6065 cents below equal-tempered middle C (relative to A=440 hz).
The Universal Song “As Above, So Below” chime
The Universal Song “As Above, So Below” 16-note chime is an excellent teaching tool for musicians and chanters learning about harmonics and overtone chanting.
The universal song “As Above, So Below” chime is arranged so the tones are in exact mirror image. The key to the “lost chord” in music is the tonal quality that emerges from the right combination of overtones and undertones. The history of tonal organization and development in music comes from this basic understanding of the acoustic roots of nature and music. The roots of musical harmony are contained in this chime. “As Above, So Below,” yet in inverse proportion, is the true statement. This chime is a metaphor to set the record straight.
The Universal Song “As Above, So Below” chime is based on the overtone partials 8 through 16 and their undertone reciprocals, or inversions 8 through 16. Overtone partials of a fundamental are based on whole number multiples of a fundamental frequency. Undertone partials are based on the opposite whole number division of the fundamental frequency. This is the basis of the Lambdoma Matrix taught by Pythagoras in ancient Greece to his mystery school students learning about the music of the spheres on the single stringed instrument called the monachord. The basic relationship of music tone ratio and proportion were taught in this manner. The C-note of 256 hz and 512 hz are used for this chime.
The Universal Song “Sidereal Year Planet” chime
The Universal Song “Sidereal Year Planet” 13-note chime is a true “music of our celestial spheres” and is an exceptional sonic tool for meditation on the qualities of our solar system’s bodies and their archetypal influences in astronomy and astrology. Many people use these notes to meditate or sound with and to synchronize with astrological and astronomical events and cycles. Musicians may also tune their voices or instruments to these notes for music and sound work associated with these heavenly bodies.
The Universal Song “Sidereal Year Planet” chime contains the sidereal year (fixed star reference) sound frequencies for our planets: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto, as well as our moon’s sidereal orbit frequency and Hans Cousts theoretical frequency for our sun. In addition, the rotational frequencies for the planetoids (or large asteroids) Chiron and Ceres are also included.
The Universal Song “Fibonacci Spiral” chime
The Universal Song “Fibonacci Spiral” 7-note chime is created from adjacent Fibonacci ratios, creating a golden ratio spiral of ascending minor 6th interval ratios of 5:8:13:21:34:55:89.
The ratio 8:5=1.6 is the most perfect of all minor 6th musical ratios. All of these ratios are found throughout nature from the micro to the macro, from microscope to telescope. These ratios were used extensively in ancient temple architecture. Fibonacci ratios create whole number phi ratios as found in planetary orbit patterns in our solar system.
The Fibonacci Series is the essential numerical sequence found throughout our universe as it starts with unity, the number one (as in one cell), and then repeats itself and begins to add “where it’s been to where is it, to know where it’s going.” Add any two consecutive terms together and you produce the third term: 5+8=13; 8+13=21; 13+21=34; etc. The ratio is 8:5, the perfect numerical minor 6th interval and 89:55=1.6181818 is approaching the geometric logarithmic phi ratio of 1 plus the square root of 5, divided by 2, which equals 1.61803398875 etc., the non-rational geometric phi ratio. Since nature uses whole numbers, the Fibonacci series sequence takes care of its golden mean or phi ratio through relationships of whole numbers. The first ten notes of the theme from the movie “Love Story” are in minor 6th ratio: C – E – E – C – C – C – E – C – C – E.
The yellow brick road from “the Wizard of Oz” is the golden mean highway of love that connects us all in the universe. The journey from Kansas to Oz was along the Yellow Brick Road via a tornado vortex. However, we are not guaranteeing that users of the Universal Song “Fibonacci Spiral” chime will take that voyage!
The Universal Song “Sidereal Year Planet” chime

In addition, the rotational frequencies for the planetoids (or large asteroids) Chiron and Ceres are also included.
The Universal Song “Bible Code Chakra” chime
The Universal Song “Bible Code Chakra” 12-note chime is an excellent tool to assist those wishing to energize and balance their chakra vortexes or tune them to a higher harmonic resonance. The name Bible Code is based on the original Biblical alpha-numeric code researched and found in specific chapters of Genesis in the Bible by Dr. Puleo and extensively researched for many years by Randy Masters.
The Universal Song “Bible Code Chakra” chime is based on the original research of Dr. Joseph Puleo of sacred manuscripts of an original Solfeggio scale of six tones used in Gregorian sacred music. This chime extends the original tones using the same mathematical sequence to include the following frequencies – 396, 417, 528, 639, 741, 852, and 963 of the original 18-tone matrix, plus the extensions 1074, 1185, 1296, 1317, and 1428. The 396 hz G-note begins the sequence with the root chakra and the 963 hz completes the major seven chakras with the crown chakra. The remaining five notes above the 963 hz are for non-physical charkas above the head. (No claims of any kind are made for these tones as they are for experimental use only at the discretion of the user.)
The 528 hz C-note is used by some scientists to repair broken DNA. There are 5,280 feet in a mile and 396 is 1/10th the radius in miles of the Earth’s Equatorial radius. Numerically, all of these numbers reduce to 3, 6, or 9. (For example, 5+2+8=15 and 1+5=6). This is a part of the “code.”
